Kudello LLC ("Kudello," "we," "us") provides guest-engagement software for restaurants, including text messaging, review requests, promotions, and reservations. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to kudello.com and to the Kudello service used by our restaurant customers.
Information we collect
From visitors to this website: contact details you submit through our demo request form (name, restaurant, email, phone, point-of-sale system) and basic technical information such as browser type.
Through the Kudello service, on behalf of our restaurant customers: guest contact information (name and phone number) provided when a guest makes a reservation, calls the restaurant, or dines and pays at a connected point of sale; visit and order history at that restaurant; message history with that restaurant; and feedback or ratings a guest chooses to submit.
How we use information
We use information to operate the Kudello service for each restaurant: sending reservation confirmations and reminders, post-visit feedback and review invitations, promotional messages the restaurant chooses to send, and replies from the restaurant's inbox. We also use it to run the service safely — for example, honoring opt-outs, enforcing sending limits, and preventing abuse — and to respond to demo requests and support questions.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share guest phone numbers between restaurants. Each restaurant's guest list belongs to that restaurant. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of service providers to run Kudello — for example, telecommunications carriers and messaging providers to deliver texts, cloud hosting and database providers to store data securely, and payment processors to bill our restaurant customers. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service to the relevant restaurant, and we protect it with industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. When a restaurant ends its subscription, its guest data is deleted or returned per our customer agreement.
Your choices
Guests can stop receiving texts from any restaurant at any time by replying STOP (see SMS terms below). To ask what information we hold about you, or to request correction or deletion, email hello@kudello.com. If you are a guest of a restaurant that uses Kudello, we may direct your request to that restaurant, since the guest relationship belongs to them.
SMS messaging program terms
Restaurants using Kudello send text messages to their guests for reservation confirmations and reminders, post-visit feedback and review invitations, win-back messages, and occasional promotions.
- Consent. Guests receive messages because they provided their phone number to the restaurant — for example, when booking a reservation, calling the restaurant, or dining and paying at the restaurant — and consent to receive related texts. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Message frequency varies by activity (for example, one confirmation and one reminder per reservation, and occasional marketing messages). Kudello enforces daily sending caps and quiet hours on behalf of every restaurant.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation of your opt-out, and no further messages will be sent. Reply START to re-subscribe.
- Help. Reply HELP to any message, or email hello@kudello.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Children
Kudello is a business service and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
